Fault phenomenon: Carter C15 diesel engine cannot start
Cause of failure:
1. The battery is low in power or the connection cable is disconnected;
2. The ignition switch has poor contact;
3. Starter failure;
4. The crankshaft or camshaft position sensor is damaged or the circuit is faulty;
5. Diesel engine fuel system failure, such as insufficient fuel pump pressure, clogged injectors, etc.;
6. Poor compression of the diesel engine, such as loose valve closing, damaged piston rings, etc.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check whether the battery power and the connecting cable are secure. If necessary, recharge or replace the battery and tighten the terminals;
2. Check whether the ignition switch is normal and replace it if necessary;
3. Check whether the starter is normal and replace the starter if necessary;
4. Check whether the crankshaft or camshaft position sensor is damaged or whether the circuit is normal. If necessary, replace the sensor or repair the circuit;
5. Check whether the diesel engine fuel system is normal, such as fuel pump pressure, fuel injector working condition, etc. If necessary, clean the fuel injector, replace the fuel filter, etc.;
6. Check whether the diesel engine compression is normal, such as valve clearance, piston rings, etc. If necessary, adjust the valve clearance, replace piston rings, etc.
Note: When troubleshooting the failure of the Carter C15 diesel engine to start, you should first check the battery, ignition switch, starter and other wearing parts, and then check the crankshaft or camshaft position sensor and diesel engine compression.
