Antifreeze is also called coolant. Its main function is to prevent the antifreeze from freezing and cracking the radiator and engine components when it is stopped in cold winter. In summer, when the temperature is high, it can effectively prevent boiling and avoid boiling. . The antifreeze specified by Shantui is ethylene glycol, which is green and fluorescent.
Maintenance period:
1. Before operation every day, check the antifreeze from the filling port to make the liquid level higher than the filter;
2. Replace the antifreeze and clean the cooling system twice a year (spring and autumn) or every 1000 hours. During this period, if the antifreeze is contaminated, the engine is overheated or foam appears in the radiator, the cooling system should be cleaned.
Cleaning the cooling system:
1. Park the vehicle on a level ground, turn off the engine, and pull up the parking brake;
2. After the temperature of the antifreeze drops below 50℃, slowly unscrew the water radiator filler cap to release the pressure;
3. Open the two air-conditioning heater inlet valves;
4. Open the drain valve of the water radiator, drain the antifreeze of the engine, and hold it in a container;
5. After the engine antifreeze is drained, close the water radiator drain valve;
6. Add a cleaning solution mixed with water and sodium carbonate to the engine cooling system. The mixing ratio is 0.5 kg sodium carbonate for every 23 liters of water. The liquid level should reach the level of the engine for normal use, and the water level should be stable within ten minutes.
7. Close the radiator water filler cap, start the engine, and gradually load after 2 minutes of idling, turn on the air conditioner, and continue to work for another 10 minutes;
8. Turn off the engine, when the temperature of the antifreeze is lower than 50℃, unscrew the cover of the water radiator, open the drain valve at the bottom of the water radiator, and drain the water in the system;
9. Close the drain valve, add clean water to the engine cooling system to the normal use level, and keep it from falling within ten minutes, close the radiator filler cap, start the engine, and gradually load after 2 minutes of idling operation, and turn on the air conditioning heater. Continue to work for another 10 minutes;
10. Turn off the engine and drain the water in the cooling system. If the discharged water is still dirty, the system must be cleaned again until the discharged water becomes clean;
Add antifreeze:
1. Close all the drain valves, and add Shantui’s special coolant from the filling port (do not remove the filter screen) so that the liquid level is higher than the filter screen;
2. Close the radiator water filler cap, start the engine, run at idle speed for 5-10 minutes, turn on the air conditioning heater, and fill the cooling system with liquid;
3. Turn off the engine, check the coolant level after the coolant level becomes calm, and confirm that the liquid level is higher than the filter screen.
