1. Remove the bottom plate under the oil pan, and then place an oil container under the oil drain.
2. To prevent oil from splashing on your body, slowly pull down the drain handle to drain the oil, wait for the oil to drain out and let it sit for 5 minutes, then lift the handle to close the drain valve.
3. Open the side door on the right rear side, and then use a filter wrench to remove the oil filter.
4. Clean the filter element seat, add clean engine oil to the new filter element, apply engine oil (or apply a thin layer of grease) to the sealing surface and threaded parts of the filter element, and then install the filter element onto the filter element seat.
5. When installing, make sure the sealing surface is in contact with the sealing surface of the filter element seat, and then tighten it further 3/4-1 turn.
6. After replacing the filter element, open the engine hood, add engine oil through the oil filler port, and check the oil drain valve for oil leakage. If there is oil leakage, it must be resolved before filling. After 15 minutes check whether the oil level is between the maximum and minimum marks.
7. Install the base plate.
